Guest DrG Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Can anyone shed any light on the following? I have got a jabra bt250 and for the life of me can’t figure out how to enable auto answer. All that seems to happen when I pair the headset to the phone (both ways - normal and enhanced) is I get the headset icon on the homescreen but the profile stays in normal. The Headset profile is not selected for me, nor can I manually select it. This being there is no auto answer option like the headset/car profiles. Anyway I can't get it to auto answer. Any help here would be great as its driving me insane keep having to press the answer button on the side of the headset… Cheers
Guest DrG Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 In reply to awarner Locked Thread - sorry about the cross post but I have had no luck in getting any answers to this (Inc from jabra and orange plus numerous other forums etc) also  thanks for locking the post (I only posted it in the main section as it seems this really is the only place to get a relatively quick reply  ) - What phone do you have?I have a C500 (fully updated). I presumed you always had to activate the call from the headset Otherwise you would have no choice in if you wanted to receive a Call or not. if you look at the headset profile which is what other headsets use, you will see that there is an auto answer function that you can set to 3 - 4 - 6 - 8 - 10 seconds and NEVER which responds to your presumption. I have tried the headset on a nokia 6600 and the auto answer function on that phone works fine as it recognises the headet as indeed a headset allow you to select the auto answer functions. It seems that the entire problem is that either the headset fails to turn the handset into headset mode OR the handset fails to see that the BT250 is an actual "headset" and rather a handsfree device which does not support the headset profile... Put it this way... If I was a motor cyclist and was using my BT250 Bluetooth headset with the C500, worn obviously under my helmet and the phone rang I would not be able to answer the call on the move because of this issue.... Regards

Guest Wonko the Sane Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 Superb now that this is proven to work can some bright spark out there in Cyberland sort out how we can listen to streaming Radio especially the BBC media player so I can listen whilst walking ....... then if we can walk about watching vids and listening to the music bluetooth, would that be the Killer App or what!
Guest deepak Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 i was using the HP 6315 recently and they have this feature built in wherein there is a choice if u want all the audio or just the calls to transfer to your headset...the reason is very clear that they intend to use the 6315 with there new stereo bluetooth headset which they are releasing soon. if someone can actually look at the bluetooth stack used in the HP ,then shoud have a solution.
