AMD Athlon 64 or Intel P4?

Hi,

Its that time again, i am looking to upgrade my processor. My normal usage of my pc is 70% browsing internet, using programs etc and then 30% is gaming.

I am either gonna go for:

AMD Athlon 64 3400+

or Intel p4 Northwood 3.2Ghz

Th reason i cannot go for a prescott is because i've recently got a new cpu cooler (which was kinda pricy!) and it wond run in silent mode with the prescott!

Please vote on the poll and give me some reasons etc

EDIT: sorry, put xp 3400+ instead of 64 :)

Altho I tend to use my iMac more than my A64 these days.
