rom operator ver....

before i download the rom update, it tells you to check ur current version. Mine is 2.7.1.1.....

"When you have powered up your SPV go to Start, More, Settings, About and scroll down to check the Operator ROM version. If your version is 2.6.1.3 then your handset has already been updated and you should not download this ROM Code Upgrade"

I know this is a stoopid question, but im confused by the VER number, bigger the number, the better version right????

Not always better version.

It also helps to say what phone you have as the SPV does not have that version of ROM so presumably you have the E200. :)

I have the spv e200, i assumed the 'ver' number was under...

ROM UPDATE VERSIONS:

could you plz tell me what to look at under the 'ABOUT' menu?

Mine is version 2.6.1.3 but I havnt upgraded to the latest rom because I didnt feel a need to. I believe that 2.7.1.1 is the latest one, and therefore there isnt a need for you to upgrade.
