Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 To enable the headsets to work correctly you will need an adaptor for the headset socket as the pinouts on the MPX are not standard.
Guest it_ideas Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 well where i would get that ? any help on that ? cuz i have heared that Jabra® EarWave™ Boom is with 2.5mm universal jack can someone put some light on this ? as i have ordered this already. thanks
Guest bassplayinuk Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 It may be a 2.5mm jack but the wiring inside the jack is different to the motorola wiring. Search the forum for a solution as there is a thread around here somewhere.
Guest tendomentis Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 I have used two different Jabra headsets with my MPX200. I am using the EarWave Boom right now and it works great. Obviously, the sound is only monoaural instead of stereo, but it works flawlessly. Apparently, as long as the headset you want to use uses a universal 2.5 jack, it should work. The 2.5 STEREO headsets won't, because of a wiring difference, but the single ear headsets work just fine.
