Guest Honest John Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I hope I haven't asked a question that has been raised before, but I did search. I dragged and dropped a couple of WORD and EXCEL documents over to my C500. On the way, Windows Explorer converted them to Pocket format. As a result, Clearvue won't see them. No problem with RTF files, though. Any solutions? Basically I want to copy files from my PC to my Phone and then read them. Thanks.
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 I think you have to disable the 'Convert files when synchronized, copied or move' option under Microsoft ActiveSync > Tools > Options > Rules tab Conversion Settings > General tab Its my wild guess but worth trying. :)
Guest kalamaca Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Yep I wanna know also? I presume to read the converted pocket format files u need to use pocket word but I dont know if this would work on the C500 or how to get it. If anyone knows of any software that reads either .doc or .psw I've converted them to .rtf also and can read them in word pad but Its not that great. Thanks Yep I wanna know also? Guest Disco Stu Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Pocket Word won't work on the phone but you could try this ; Repligo at Handango :)
Guest jfran Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 just disable file conversion in active sync rules and you will be able to they the files with the CV programs. As an alternative text and word document viewer you can use profiexplorer rgds jim Posted from my SmartPhone!
