Customize ATTWS homescreen

Hi All,

So i just got my SMT5600 here in the states - LOVE IT!

Just a few question about editing the pre packaged home page;

1. How do i remove icons from the top bar?

2. How can i edit the links displayed in the bottom section of the screen. Currently they are Sports, News, Search, Entertainment?

Also...

How can i change the name of the email accounts i have set up in messages, i.e. change "pop3" to something like "MyAOL"?

I am new to this forum and a search didnt yield any answers...

Hi Alontamir,

First question is how deep down the rabbit hole do you want to go?

I would recommend you to do three things.

1.) Download some of the home screens on here and install them and see what you can do.

2.) Install all of RemyJ's plugins RJTIME RJHTML RJSHORTCUT

3.) Connect your phone via activesync and 'explore' to /storage/application data/home and look at the different *.home.xml files. They are a little confusing at first but you can pickup on home the file is layed out and there are a ton of walkthroughs on here on what to change and how to change it.

RemyJ's plugins enable you to encorprate html content on the home screen. i dont know the full working of it, as im no expert,
