Guest fisterolfer Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Hi there, my brandnew 256mb storage card is acting pretty strange. The only files storged on it is a few pictures that only take`s a few mb, but in system info it tell`s me Iv`e used more than 200 mb, And I haven`t. I have read some where that I might sould have formatet the card but not untill I used it. Is that the problem? And if so how do I do it?
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Have you checked what's on the card either with ActiveSync or a file explorer ? What are you using to give you the reading ? There's usually no need to format the card before you use it, but you can do it either with a card reader or with Binary's excellent Task Manager.
Guest fisterolfer Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Yes I have checked it with activesync. and the only thing on it is a few files at 2-3 mb. It is when i go into the systeminfo on the phone I can see how much space is used and how much is free, both on the phone and storage card. It actullay worked fine af first but them all of the sudden there is a almost 200 mb file that ìs not there. When I try to get files to the card activesync. tell`s there is not enough room for the file.
Guest Confucious Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Not heard of anyone having problems with a Mini-Sd card yet but it sounds like yours is corrupt. It might be worth getting in touch with the supplier and explaining what has happened and seeing if they will replace it but a format *should* sort it out.
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 As Confucious suggested elsewhere, it may well be that your card is corrupted. You should try to reformat it or, even better, take it back and get a new one. :)
