Cingular MPX220 Questions: FastForward & Exchange Server

Since nobody at Cingular nor Best Buy really have a clue, this looks like the only place to get some real support!

Few questions:

1) Anyone out there used the FastForward cradle with an MPX220? If so, what field do you place the cf1 in (first or last name)?

2) To synch with Exchange, do you have to have some special data plan? I could synch up my MPX200 with no additional services, but the MPX220 is nothing doing (even locally connected to my PC/LAN).

Thanks.

1) Don't even know what a FastForward cradle is. :?:

2) To sync with an Exchange server, I believe you need to have two things:

a) Internet access via your 220 and :) the Exchange server must be 2003. Depending on how your IT folks set up access, (if they allow access) - you would connect directly to the Exchange 2003 server (which is a HUGE security risk) or you would connect to an OMA(Outlook Mobile Access) server or OWA (Outlook Web Access) server that is also running OMA. USe IMAP4 (secure protocol).

Talk to your IT department, they should be able to help you out.

Hope this helps.

I keep getting ERROR 36 when trying to synch. We have Exchange 2003 and OMA. Is there any difference in connecting to OMA? Isn't it in the settings of Active Synch?

I control the server and it worked fine before with my MPX200 with the same settings.

I run an Exchange server 2003 with the smartphone.

The oma is for your wap browser. It would be http://www.yourserver.com/oma/ This would be in explorer, and the url would be your servers dns name. The active sync would just point to your www.servername.com name. leave off the /exchange.
