Problems with homescreen

I installed the gnome theme, after the installation I saw my standard background and a clock and date on the right site. I had to press down to get to the gnome theme, this of course is very annoying so I uninstalled it. After that I installed a C&C generals theme and I have problems with my mail/sms/mms display. When I scroll I have the sms/mail/mms display on top off my screen?? I now have the ragnarok theme and it works pretty good but when i get a new sms my counter says 0 instead of 1, but I do see an sms picture in the upper left. Anyone had this too???
