Guest evans.rhys.gavin Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 i had a new c500 on my orange care yesterday as my previous one the screen burnt out :? and i have tried installing all my applications back on and a few songs but the thing is so slow transferring data would it be my pc, the lead, is there any settings that need to be changed or is it another classic case of a faulty c500 seeing as this is my fourth since september any ideas thanks guys
Guest Confucious Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Transfering data is a LOT quicker with a card reader.
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Is what I was thinking ! Are you having problems installing software ? If it's just with transferring music or vids, I wouldn't think you can do anything about it other than get a card reader.
Guest evans.rhys.gavin Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 iv'e realised what is causing it now i had done a big virus check on my pc and deleted over 100 trojans and it left my c drive in a mess therefore slowing down my comp so a disk defrag shud sort it out thanks anyways guys gav
Guest Confucious Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Ouch - You should ALWAYS make sure you habve an up to date virus checker running and a firewall (ZoneAlarm is free) and run AdAware and/or SpyBot S&D on a regular basis. No wonder you were having problems. Hope you're all sortred now.
Guest evans.rhys.gavin Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 yes all sorted now thanks it was the bit defender software i was running it was slowing down all incoming and outgoing data therefore slowing down my transfers got rid of it now and reinstalling zone alarm tomorrow
