Best/any solutions for using C500 with Mac?

Hi Guys N' Gals:)

I'm pretty new to all this so please be gentle.... Basically, I've just got my SPV C500 (on Orange) and am LOVING all the things you can do with it (Thanks to this Forum!!)...

Anyway, I need to use it with my Mac G4 Powerbook and was wondering what the best solution is for syncing it up....

I've read up about Pocketmac Phone edition.. Is this any good? Anyone using it? .... Pro's/Con's?

Unfortunately, I don't have a PC, so this is my only option. Are there any other ways to link with Mac, or is PocketMac the ONLY way?

I must admit, I've emailed their support Team a couple of times already, but haven't heard a thing!! Not very promising!!

Anyway, any help would be REALLY appreciated....

Thanks in advance and Merry Christas to you all!! :)

I'm using Pocket Mac on my G5 and although it's not the most stable of programs, it at least lets you send MP3's, photos and videos to and from your c500. Haven't explored all the synching of contacts and calendar capabilities yet but not really bothered about that!

Seems to be a slight bug whereby you have to drag MP3's into your phones folder twice before it actually copies it?? Could just be me though!

I'd say it's well worth the £18 though.....just make sure you've got OSX 10.3 or higher.

Hi Chivvy

Thanks for your reply... :)

Yeah... I actually bought PocketMac the other day and have been messing about a bit...

I know what you mean about it being a bit buggy (so to speak) but I also agree, at least it lets you copy bits to and from your phone (i.e. MP3's, Photo's, Movies etc..)

I've actually used the "Contacts" sync thingy, and it works pretty well actually... I never used to keep my address book (in OSX 10.3.6) up to date, but with this synced up, its pretty awesome that I've got all my email addresses, tel. numbers, now on my Mac and my phone....

I can't seem to get the MP3 copy thing to work from iTunes or iPhoto's though...? If i want mp3's etc on my phone I have to actually drag and drop onto my Storage card... but at least it works

Have you checked out that OSX Screensaver on the homescreens page yet.. It took me a while to get workin' but its awesome for Mac fans
