Orange SPV e200 unlock solution?

Hello everyone

ive just bought a SPV e200 off ebay and ovbiously its locked to orange, is it possible to unlock the NEWER software models to dual band?

ive asked in loads of market stalls and shops and they recon they cannot do it! ive searched this forum and found out otherwise but im jsut checking i can dualband newer software models too?

Just for your info the E200 is Tri-Band not Dual-Band

i know cheers, ive just bought it u see and im worried i wont be able to use it on voda.

i read something about application lock? something the makers of the fone have put on to stop people installing osftwrae on there fone? is that right? can it be removed?

yes some network providers do this . but you can easily remove application lock. follow this thread http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=102618

It's not as bad as it sounds, the application lock is designed so that only

signed software (software that has been tested and deemed safe) can run on the phone without any problems.

Removing the application lock can potentially open the phone to rogue

code that can cause possible instability on the phone.

You will find that most people do unlock their phones anyway :)
