Guest Confucious Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 Have you installed ActiveSync - if so you can just copy them across, your phone will show up in explorer (assuming you're using Windows). Can you please turn your CAPS lock off when you post. Thanks
Guest bodisaffa Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 i have active sync installed but how do i copy my wav files to active sync ?? can you break it down a bit for me?? sorry i am a total newbie thanks
Guest chucky.egg Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 It's easy once you know how... 1. Connect your phone to the PC 2. Open Windows Explorer and you should get an item (near the bottom, after the list of drives in the PC) called "Mobile Device", and under that you should get "Smartphone" - it takes a few seconds to see the device 3. Browse to where your WAVs are on the laptop, select and right-click to choose Copy 4. Browse through "Smartphone" to Storage - Application Data - Sounds, and then right-click for Paste Then, on the phone, go to Settings - Sound and you should be able to see your ringtones! Cool! Bear in mind that ringtones can only be WMA or WAV (and maybe some others, dunno) but not MP3
Guest Confucious Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 Bodisaffa, have you got it working yet? Chucky's instructions shouuld be fine but if you have any further problems please post as much detail as possible here. eg What opporating system do you use on the laptop,? what format are the files you are trying to copy? What happens when youi try and copy them? The more details you give, the mor detaile the help can be and there are plenty of people reading these forums who can and will help. Hopefully tho' you've followed Chucky's instructions and and got it all working.
