Guest Russell@home Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 Hi all, Here's my problem. I have an E200 & I am now out of contract, I want a new toy (sorry I mean phone!) but whiat do I go for? I was thinking about the M2000 but then I thought it's a bit on the big side, but how cool to have wifi on your phone?. Then I saw the Sanyo S750 (I know it's not a smartphone) but after playing with it for a bit I realised how much I like smartphones & do I really need 3G. Hey, what about the C500? It looks a bit boring & doesn't support voice dialling but if it's as good as everyone says it is maybe it's worth a look. I'm still undecided, so what does everyone think I should do?
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 No time for a detailed reply, but C500 every time :) Apart from the time you consider a PPC device and have a look at the i-Mate Jam in MoDaCo shop....
Guest lighthouse82 Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 don't forget, you can get a SD&WiFi card for the Jam for around £80. for me, it's a tight toss-up between the C500 and the Jam. although since i'd get much better value on a new contract rather than an early upgrade, and if you want a new contract you can only keep your number by going to a different network i may have to abandon orange for someone else. did someone say t-mobile mda compact??
Guest Confucious Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 The C500 does support voice dialing and IMHO is a cracking little phone. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest filao Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 C500 all the way mate, also dirt cheap these days ... Check out Mobiles UK, just revised their C500 deals, you can get one for £92 on contract !!!

Guest Russell@home Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 What are the differences between the E200 & C500?
Guest filao Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 Orange retail offered me one for free! Sorry, didn't make that clear .... yo can get one for FREE on the Mobiles UK website with an £11/month contract and £40 cashback! (Sounds lots better ... :) )
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 What are the differences between the E200 & C500? Sorry again for hurried reply, but the C500 has everything the E200 could do in a smaller, lighter, sexier shell. Its also far more stable and most of the E200 bugs have gone.
Guest Eldar2k Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 Get the C500! There is no better phone at the moment....
Guest barrybryce Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 I think you've asked at Biased Opinions 'R' Us - but the C500 is super duper. Much better than the E200, and, it works!
Guest Russell@home Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Does the C500 load up/shut down quicker than the E200? I have had a load of problems with making & receiving calls on the E200 & the only way round it is to switch the phone off & on which takes forever.
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Does the C500 load up/shut down quicker than the E200? I have had a load of problems with making & receiving calls on the E200 & the only way round it is to switch the phone off & on which takes forever. Again hurried, but basically yes. Everything is faster and more stable , so you 'll not need to reboot so often, if at all. Check out iMenu on this forum / Aifagev's site for a quick reboot.
