Guest Dale1313 Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 I didn't have any luck finding anything here in the forums so I apologize if this has been addressed...but how do you remove a game once it has been installed? I have deleted the files from the phone but the title still shows under game room folder and in the list...anyone know??? Thanks
Guest martin Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 If you install software using a cab file then you can delete it using Settings-Remove Programs in the phone menu. If the software was installed from PC then use Remove Programs in the PC active sync menu :)
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 It might be worth installing the game again and doing an uninstall as described above just to make sure you get everything off your phone. Finally, reboot your phone, connect to ActiveSync and manually delete the folder in Storage Windows AppMgr corresponding to the game you've just uninstalled. There might be a stray database file somewhere that you can now delete manually too, but it will contain your highscores etc so you could leave it in case you want to play the game again later.
Guest Dale1313 Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 I did both of these steps....on active sync it says I do not have permission to open this file...on the phone it says file can not be deleted. Any other ideas??? It is not a problem it just shows in the game room folder...but it seems all other info is OFF the phone... Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 There will still be registry entries etc but if the game will not allow you to reinstall it then the only option if you ever wanted to fully remove the game and it's componants would be to do a hard reset. No programme should be manually deleted. Moved to Help and Advice
