Anyone know abt o2 active on smartphone

I've been setting up on SPV C500 for O2 Wap and its working access but the thing is when i input http://www.o2.co.uk

then its said need download for Internet Exploere

i cannot access on O2 Site but its may need download for updated how could i getting from there...

but other site e.g www.google.co.uk, other site is no problem with that any website but apart from that o2 site need update internet explore

anyone have same problem ?

Just checked with my c500 on orange and get the same message. The website is checking to see what browser you are using and because it does not recognise the version of ie as used on the smartphone it tells you that you need to upgrade. it is just bad programing and I have emailed them to ask why they do not support ie on the Smartphone.

its because the o2 web portal uses frames and the smartphone doesnt support frames. I had the link for the mobile version. Its the one that is used on the xda i cant remember it, ill try and find it for you.

You can get to the WML version of wap.o2.co.uk by using Proxy 193.113.200.195:9201, Type=WAP.

Best idea is to create 2 proxies. Point one to the WAP connection and the other to the Secure WAP connection and then swap between these connections in Internet Explorer :)
