I was transfering a movie from onto my SD card via my link cable, it froze my phone, i ended up taking the battery out to reset it. After doing so, my phone no longer sees my SD memory card. I've tried to reset the phone several times, but it still doesnt see it.

The card is still working fine, i tested it via a pc card reader.

my phone is a SPV e200 with new rom i believe.

If the PC can still see the card it could be the phone has become corrupt and might need a Hard Reset.

Try formating the card first though as you can do this without losing any data (by copying onto the PC first) but I suspect youmight end up havig to resort to a Hard Reset.

Good luck

Has the card been unsed on the phone before or is it new?

If it's new there is a chance the card is dual layer which in not compatable with the E200

Well i have no idea what was happening, i copied all the info off the card, then copied it all back on the card after formating... didnt help.

But then i put my camaras card (different card) in my phone and it did work

Put first card back in, now it works too. SO i have no idea what my phone was doing, just trippin i guess

Don't you just love computers? :)

Glad it's working now.

Exactly the same thing has happened to my c500 after I took the battery out when it "stuck" on Doom (damn crap game). Storage card no longer there! Will try swapping it with another as you did and will report back. Bloody windows.

UPDATE

With other miniSD card in place, task manager recognises it but still won't recognise my new (4 day old) card. Looks like it is just corrupted following a game of doom!! To make matters worse, Orange are refusing to replace it.

Anyone else had this miniSD catastrophe?
