Mpx200 bargain price!

Hi there,

I have had many mobile phones in my life time, but never a smartfone.

I cant get this fone for £80 sim free from the carphonewarehouse.

Is this good for me, i would mainly use msn messneger.

It comes with windows 2002, can this be updated?

Also does anyone no what comes in the box from the carphonewarehouse.

Please can someone just reply with a litte review so i no wether this fone will annoy me or not.

Your best bet would be to have a read through the MPx200 section of MoDaCo, or use the search function. You should find the answers to the questions (and much more besides!).

SIM free for £80 sounds pretty good to me though.

wat kind of applications could i install on this fone that i cudnt do on my ngage?

To find out all the details you need about the phone go to http://www.motorola.com/ or search on the internet for reviews. There's plenty out there that will tell you all you need. Also read the forum to find what info you need.

Regarding the update to 2003 there is not a legal way to do this, but if you did upgrade

you would be invalidating your warranty.

oh right so is it best to stay with the wm 2002?

also will it play wmv movies and where can i get the fone in the uk because the only place i found the carphone warehouse dosent have them anymore

Its got a version of Media Player on it, so yes it will play wmv files. You can also download other programs (for free I beleive) that will allow it to play other formats such as DivX.

I don't know where you could get a sim free handset from, but I think you can still get them for free on Orange.
