Guest larsdennert Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Does anyone know of a replacement for the abc input mode in WM2003? It seems that the abc mode doesn't transmit characters properly to listboxes (though it does to textboxes). It could be that the keybddr.dll in 2003 is the culprit. Why does microsoft have add more bugs on every successive release of their software??
Guest Confucious Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 Can you give us an example of the problem? I have had no problem apart from it sometimes putting a number in a password on the first press which then has to be deleted to enter letters.
Guest larsdennert Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 Hmm, I'd like to and appreciate the help. The thing is that you have to find a program on the phone that uses the listbox api call. They look like the attachment here. Normally in WM2002, you push a letter and it seeks to the first entry beginning with that letter. Great for lists that have 1000 items. WM 2003 doesn't work. Numbers work though. It's really wierd.ss001.jpg
Guest Confucious Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 Not knowing what api's programs use i'm not sure that i can help. But doesn't the contacts list have that functionality and work perfectly well?
