Hi,

1. Does SPV e200 use the same kind of socket as HP/Compaq Ipaq for synchronization? Is it possible to use that one instead of original?

2. What is the charging socket and voltage?

Thanks :)

Hi Lucas.

Can't help much with this other than to say that the back of my Syc cradle says this:

5V DC supply and 1A followed by +ve, line joined to dot in part circle (open side on positive side) with another line coming off the part circle follwed by -ve to indicate polarity (ca never remeber which way round that's supposed to represent !)

Hope that helps.

The pinout for the data is the same as the E100/XDA see here but the rest are different.

I made my own with USB+ and USB- and all works fine.

If someone has or can take a picture of data and power socket at the bottom of the SPV e200, please post it.

Hi,

I mean data port and charging port of the SPV e200 hand set.

I can buy an SPV from a guy who had lost all wires and I'm checking if I can use wires from my PocketPC to make some tests.

I will be very great full for the picture of the SPV sockets.

Thanks :).

The plug on the bottom of the E200 is exactly the same as the ones on the XDA, if you look at the pictures on the xda developers site that is how the plug looks.

I used the pinouts from that page to make my own lead and is working fine.

Hi Lucas,

Ok will try to take some photos a bit later.

If it's charging etc that you need then why not do a search on Ebay - just look for "E200".

There are loads of people doing sync cables, mains charges etc at cheap prices eg mains charger that plugs straight into phone around £6-00 icluding P&P, sync cables for about same + other odss and ends.

The E100 charge will also fit E200 so you could also try a search for "E100" too.

I found the best thing that I ever did when I got my E100 was invest in the SPV Keyboard as this is handy for travel, text messages etc and when plugged into mains charge also acts as phone charge too. The only additional thing you need then is the adpater plug if you want to charge the phone direct as this changesd from round pin fitting to flat pin fitting for phone port and aomething to sync the phone with if you want to use cable connection.
