Keypad backlights light sensitive?

I dont really get why my keypad lights turn on and off, does it detect darkness through the camera?and is there a way to make them stay on constantly thanks

It is light sensitive and it's not done through the camera. If you look underneath the # sign, you'll notice a tiny sensor. That's what senses the light.

There is a setting (probably in settings, I can't be botherd to look, sorry) that turns the light sensor on or off.

Ok, This is how to do it

press START

Select SETTINGS

Select MORE

Select POWER MANAGMENT

Select LIGHT SENSOR ENABLE to OFF

Job done

My MPX220 doesn't have that option... What FW are you using Smurf??

I have a C500 with WM2003SE

My 220 also doesn not have this option. It is .342 from AT&T (not cingular).
