Guys,

Based on the rate HTC are chucking out these SPV's when do you expect to see the C500 successor arriving.

Reason I ask is im up for renewal in Jan. in Jan 2003 I got the original SPV, then came the E100 in mid 2003, then came the E200 in late 2003, I swapped my original SPV for an E200 in Jan 2004, then came the C500 in late 2004...based on that do you think I would be wise holding off my Jan upgrade till the C500 successor appears or do we think its a long way off???

Your thoughts....

They seem to be coming about two a year don't they? But the first post in this forum was 12/06/04 and I believe it was released at the end of August so it was known abot at least 2 months before it was available. Come January if there is no news on it's successor thn I think you can assume that it won't be out for at least 2 months. Even if a suvccesor was announced today i doubt if it would be available before the end of Feb.

As with all things computer related there is always something better due out "Soon" .

The C500 is a cracking phone and IMHO well worth getting, but the choice is yours. Personally I'm not very good at waiting.

Yeah its a pain really...bad timing of my contract really. Seems everyone is my work has the c500 now and it seems like last seasons stuff almost...and I like to be first with the new stuff :) might have to ask the old E200 to work through retirement at this rate...wonder if his old dodgy start button is up to the task. Always good for weight training tho!

Least this way all the bugs are ironed out before you get your phone. Go for the C500 you won't regret it. :)

I agree with Confucious. The grass always appears greener on the other side, and there is always something better due out soon. If you keep putting off your upgrade to see what is coming out thats newer, you will never upgrade! The C500 is a cracking phone, get it, you wont regret it, its tons better than the E200.
