On the C500, open camera, Menu, options, General, tick the 'Disable shutter sound' box

Yup there is a way but u need a registry tool. The one i use is PHM registry Editor for Smartphone.

go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - ARCSOFT - CAMERA

then hit values and choose : Shutter Sounds

then change the value from "1" to "0"

hit done

reboot the phone, and test your soundless camera...

One more thing that I forgot to mention. You have to do this rather quickly, as for some reason, the tool shuts down after 45 seconds. It makes no sense why it does, but it does, but hey the tool was free.
