Guest triran Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 Has anyone had any problems with trying to download a video via Orange World and it not working? Help needed! Can anyone give me an update for the C500 version?
Guest martin Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 What exactly happens when you try and download a video ?
Guest triran Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 It shows its downloading then goes to pvPlayer then comes up with "pvPlayer encounter an error" and then sometimes it says after "Can't play file type" <- something like that

The "Can't play file type" sounds like the associated application for MP4 files might have changed in the phone. I did this once before by adding an MP4 association in the Betaplayer settings menu but after unticking it, the MP4 files automatically opened PVplayer again

How do I cure this first problem? 2. How do I change the file assoication please?

Guest Disco Stu Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Go to the File Manager in the Accessories folder. Browse to a file (MP4 in this case) and hit Menu. Then File, Associate. The file extension of the file you've highlighted (but not clicked on) is now shown at the top of the screen. All the applications installed on your phone are listed below and you can now scroll down to the listing for BetaPlayer and hit Done and all of that file type will now open in that program. http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=55367>Smart Explorer will do the same of course. :)
