C500 email config. problem!!!

I've had the spv, the e200 and just got a c500 but I can't config. my email address on it. I have the outlook mail but when I go to options then config. account it sends me back to the file menu (1.mms /2.sms/3.outlook )and I can't go any further. What am I doing wrong? I never had this problem with my other handsets!!! :)

Ahhhhhhhh. got it!! Doesn't say that in my guide!! I didn't click on new in the tool bar. ok will try that! :)

No haven't got it..... I get an error message saying to check the num.parameter or the proxy ones, how do I do that?

Who is your email provider? What settings have you used?

...you need to create a new account for your pop3/imap4 provider...the Outlook mail is for when you sync with your PC...

...I think it is in messaging>settings somewhere...

Thanks. It finally worked for I don't really know what reason.(let's just blame orange lol). I just love this phone. Had a great time with the voice recog. ! :)

While I'm here I do have a problem transferring files or contacts via bluetooth I have done all the right things with the pairing which worked fine but when i try to transfer I only get the IR option and even trying that nothing moves!! (I'm trying ito transfer it to my old E200) what's wrong?

...try doing a search on this...loads of threads...also search for Smart Explorer...should find what you need...
