Agile Messenger Toggle Problem?

Recommended Posts

Anyone have problems with Agile Messenger? I can connect and it works fine, but then after a while or if I switch back to the home screen I cannot get back to the application. I have xbar installed to allow me to toggle apps, but it seems like Agile hides or something. If I go into Task Manager I can see it. Also, the sound alerts continue working and it appears to remain connected. It seems like this might be a bug?

I installed the Beta for Smartphone.

I have a Motorola Mpx220 with the .345 update.

Any ideas?

BUMP!

I have the same problem. For a while you can access it through the start menu and it will pull up the original process. But after a time it will "hide" and opening from the start menu creates a new process. If task manager allowed you to switch to any running processes that would be one way around it. Any ideas?

It does! Just select the process then 'Go To' :?

I've only had problems with it logging me off for no apparent reason and occasionly it plays the message alert sound and vibrates....but there is no message to be had - very strange.

Keep in mind it is free and still in beta. The ppc version works much better IMO so I know they can get this better.

I would, except that I don't see that option in the MPX220 build. The menu just has options for killing the process and refreshing the list. Any other ideas?

I have the same problems -

sometimes disappears and I can't get back to it, have to kill it in http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=7065>Task Manager.

Also, vibrates/sounds when get message, but never get message window.

Also using beta on Mpx220

I have the same problem on my E200. I've put smartphone2003 version.

After Agile dissapears from AppList in Sp TaskManager, you can find it in Process list. Unfontunatly you can only kill it from there and not bring it to front.

Starting a new Agile if there is another one in the background does not work as the second one does not connect.

BUMP!

Seriously, what's the deal with this???

First of all, Agile Messenger 3 has become useless to me because of this problem and second of all, has anyone heard anything about an actual new release for Smartphone (not BETA)?

Hoping for a solution soon.

Nik

the solution is here: http://www.mobilegadgetnews.com/blog/omega...eid=57#comment9

"This change helps with the memory management feature. In my case it prevents Agile Messenger from being shutdown when running in the background.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LowMem\ProgramMem

Change the value to 64 or 96 whichever give you the best performance."

credit goes to Omega2008 !
