Guide: Using Opera Browser On O2 PAYG

Ok so those of you on O2 PAYG know how much of a pain it can be trying to get apps that connect to the net to work. MSN doesnt work over GPRS, neither does IRC. The only thing that does is PIE. Well now you can get Opera to work too :)

How it works:

Basically, just as you do in data connections to get the net to work in PIE, you add a proxy connection. The problem with Opera is that you cant select Wap Network, it will only connect to The Internet. So to get round this, go to StorageApplication DataOpera and copy the file "opera.ini" to your PC. Then open it in notepad and scroll down to the bit that says

HTTP Server=mdp.opera.com:9080

and then change it to

HTTP Server=193.113.200.195:8080

you can now use O2 PAYG with your Opera Browser :(
