Guest Clavat Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 hi, im new here! i have recently bought a mpx200 and updated it to 2003. now i have 2 little questions i can't find the awnser on the forum... 1: can i have a mp3 song as ringtone and how? 2: can i set so that when i'm listening to music with media player i can just switch to the next song by pressing the volume buttom (wich usualy opens a "record note"). it would be easy because then i dont have to open my mpx200 everytime i want to change song... thx!
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Welcome to the forum :) 1. No, the MPx200 will only play wavs or MIDIs (format MID0) 2. I've not heard of a method to remap the buttons but you could use a homescreen with OrangeWinger's WMP plugin to get better access to the controls.
Guest Clavat Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 hmm, thx! i downloaded the plugin wich is extremely handy. but now that i have seen that there are homescreen plugins: in wm2002 there was a possibility to put you homescreen to simple wich only showed your operator and the time (and not how many sms, appointments etc. i have). in wm2003 i can only choose: windows default and now also windows media... now the question is: is there a way to get the simple homescreen on my wm2003? sorry if its a stupid question or allready asked :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Just install a simple homescreen :) Have a look in the Homescreen download section of the site for some ideas. PS 2003 can also play wma ringtones.
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 I posted up a selection of these here : http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=1154...e4b06aaf521c24b :)
Guest phonesmarts Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 Awarner, are there any specific versions of WMA that it supports? Does it go up to v9?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 To bo honest I am not sure as I have not encoded a ringtone for a long time. I normally use those made by other members that are posted here as I never seem to have the time to do any encoding myself :?
