Guest tha_neo Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Me n a friend realised something very nice. If you take another smartphone that has t9swedish.dll (for example), you can send it with IR to another phone and place it in the windows map. The thing is that it will be deleted after a software reset... But you can send the t9swedish.dll file to the IPSM folder. The problem now is, how can I make the phone use that dll file? when i wrote "ipsmt9swedish.dll" or 'ipsmt9swedish.dll' or just ipsmt9swedish.dll it didn´t work. any ideas??? One problem could be that he got a Qtek 8010 (c500) and I a mpx200 with SP2002 and he WM2003. Mayby this would work with two 2003 devices... Maybe this is oldschool but I got suprised cause you shouldn´t be able to copy the files in the Windows directory...
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 Have you tried beersoft's app? http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=118544
Guest tha_neo Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 No I haven´t but I tried to put the file in the windows directory and changed the registry but it didnt work. maybe it´s cause the file proporties isnt rom and all that stuff... don´t know. will try some more. if i´ll get this thing to work i´ll tell
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 Unfortunately it is not as simple as that, the alterations you need are ROM based and so unaccessable. People have tried for a long time to add other languages etc but without success. :)
Guest attakorn Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 hey have you tried renaming it t9swedis.dll so that it is 8 characters... i dunno.. i'm juz guessing here since every other t9 language .dll like english or german are 8 characters long (eg. t9englis.dll or t9german.dll) Try that, hope it works.
Guest tha_neo Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 Yeah, I also tried to change the name of the dll file to another that already exist. but still nothing...
