Question on MPX220 Firmware

I purchase my cell from a ebay seller, since MPX220 isn't available in Canada.

The firmware came with my MPX is the latest 1.3, although I will have difficulties upgarding any future new firmwares.

Are there any site where I can download firmwares for MPX220?

Anyone know a vendor or site selling MPX220 new firmware?

If I take a trip to US for a firmware upgrade, would I need a Cingular receipt or some form of proof of purchase. Since the ebay seller I purchased my MPX220 did not offer any reciepts.

That firmware is the latest for Cingular. There is a 1.7 and a 1.9. but these are being tested and not released yet. ATTWS latest firmware is .343 and appears about on the par as 1.3

No. There has been some buzz about having it available for download. At this time the only way to upgrade firmware is to send it back.

No. No such thing at this time.

No need to take a trip. Can't do it in the stores. Only way at this time is to send it to Repair. I think that your best bet is to call them. They warrantee the phone, hopefully it does not matter who the carrier is. Good luck! :)
