Guest zenza Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 Why is it that when you sign out of msn, the GPRS receiving symbol still stays on the screen? Shouldn't it go off?
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 The big G in the middle of the screen is always there when the phone is GPRS-enabled. The little G on the signal indicator should go when you sign off. Mine just did  :)
Guest spark-x Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 works fine over here in london
Guest phaldred Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 RabNeo Matrix: i have exactly the same problem, what network are u on?
Guest Ben Horley Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 I cn connect to MSN ok but get a plain page, no options like Hotmail or anything.
Guest jenquack Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Why is it that when you sign out of msn, the GPRS receiving symbol still stays on the screen? Shouldn't it go off? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you can detach gprs by holding the home key and selecting 'detach gprs', to make sure you leave a session properly 8)

Guest tsutton Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 I was able to connect to MSN with my orange sim but when i put in my PAYG O2 sim and put the settings on my phone i couldn't connect to MSN. Anyone got MSN working on O2 PAYG? Dave Did you activate GPRS on your O2 sim card? If not, call O2 and they will activate it.
Guest David5093 Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Did you activate GPRS on your O2 sim card? If not, call O2 and they will activate it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah i have done but it doesn't work and it will only load up some wap sites like the O2 wap portal but not HTML sites Dave
Guest martin Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 Yeah i have done but it doesn't work and it will only load up some wap sites like the O2 wap portal but not HTML sites Dave <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To access HTML pages you need to change the proxy connection to the following. Connects from: The Internet Connects to: WAP network Proxy (name:port): 193.113.200.195:8080 Type: HTTP then set the WAP connection to the GPRS connection containing the WAP APN (Access Point Name). In Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Connections, UNTICK 'Auto detect settings' and make 'Select network: WAP network'. You should now be able to access HTML pages :D You can access hotmail from the phone using www.hotmail.com If you get an error saying cookies needs enabled it's because you cannot create cookies using the O2 WAP APN. The solution is to first use the pass through connection to access hotmail as this will create the cookies information in the phone memory. You should then be able to access hotmail via the WAP APN :D Hope this helps
Guest shodanjr_gr Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 MSN and Wap work fine on my phone. Ive tried it on Orange PAYG while i was in the UK and on Vodafone paymonthly contract here in Greece (after i set it up properly). Look into your Wap/Internet settings, perhaps something is bogus there. BTW i am not sure, but i dont think you can access MSn using wap over gprs, you have to have internet over gprs enabled on your connection.
Guest pietta Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 and if all those dont work, do as i did. the place where it says remember password = say no and type the password manually. ive heard that c500 adds an extra digit after ur password
Guest shodanjr_gr Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 It has been doing so to me while attempting to log in in wapsites on Pocket IE.
