C500 Software Lock Query

Hi,

As a new C500 owner i've been doing the download crazy, but often find that some apps won't install due to the Software lock. I've read up on this through the forums and it seems easy to do, but my question is should I do it?

Is there any reasons for it to be locked?

I would like to change the themes on the phone :)

The software lock allows the network t control what programs can run on the phone, but there havent been any virus's etc so i see no reason not to unlock

I've gone through the process a few times but i never recieve the message saying that my phone is de-certified!!!

Am I doin something wrong? It accepted by phone and handset number ok.....

Which address did you use exactly ?

Have you connected to GPRS prior to doing the process ?

Did you use the full version of your IMEI number (by putting *#06#into the keypad) ?

Have you seen the alternative method involving an email to the Developers ?
