Email and Passthrough connection problems

Hi,

After many hours of battling with the C500 and Pipex's Imap setup i think i've finally managed it...............it recieves and sends using GPRS but tells me it cannot log onto the server when using the passthrough connection!

"The following errors occurred when sending or recieving mail: unable to connect to the incoming mail server. Verify that your login information is correct and try again"

I can conect to the web and browse most websites but cannot seem to get the email to work.

Its no biggie as i don't actually get that many emails but it is annoyingly frustrating not being able to sort it :evil: . Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have been toying with the idea its something to do with the fact i connect through the LAN at work - but surely that would affect the web browsing as well???

Guys? any ideas? - is it a limitation of using the IMAP format? - surely i'm not the only one having problems collecting email via actrive sync am i? (queue extreme paranoia :? )

I'm using IMAP too and haven't had any problems using passthrough (either over USB or bluetooth)

Can you connect to the same IMAP server using your PC? Maybe something's getting blocked there, or by your ISP for some reason
