Guest element Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 I think that means you need to application unlock your phone. Im not sure what to use to do this for a C500 cos I havnt got one, but im sure someone who has one can give you some info.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 The C500 can be application unlocked from the Orange developers site, just click on OTA for for information. As for suddenly getting this messge it sounds as if the phone has suffered a partial reset and is now application locked :? Have you let the battery run down or removed the battery while the phone appeared to have hung? Can you still use applications like Task Manager from www.binarys.com ? or do you get this messge with any other applications or games? I've not seen a partial reset on a c500 before :?
Guest lukeap69 Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 hi awarner, that happens to E100 too. now, if that happens what can we do? i usually hard reset it, but you know the pain of installing apps and games, etc. again. lukeap 69
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 @lukeapp Thats normal with Orange 1.6 after a partial reset. You have to app-unlock your phone once again.
Guest lukeap69 Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 is that the same with SAP? but it's application unlocked already. most SAP here in our office experienced that kind of problem especially with RJV's apps (i.e. SendContact, SMSScheduler). how can we app unlock SAP with smart rom? thanks for replying SM. btw, can you remove the last p in lukeapp? LOL regards, lukeap 69
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 The SmartROM is app-unlocked AFAIK. I've heard of instances where RJV apps wont run after a partial reset. The only solution I think is to do the uninstall-reinstall routine. BTW, why just the last p when I can remove the entire lukeapp69... from the database? :) Merry Christmas dude. :(
Guest lukeap69 Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 @pzee, the uninstall - install routine wouldn't work as well. you have to hard reset and install all the apps again. grrr. i hope there is another solution. what i meant is you addressed me above as lukeapp. it should be lukeap. LOL regards, lukeap 69
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 From experience, I think the only thing to do after a partial reset is a full hard reset. The logic is that something has been corrrupted and the only way to get your phone back to full working order is to start again from scratch. It's a pain to reinstall everything but you get used to it and even accept it as a kind of spring-cleaning ! :)
