Guest fowen Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 I just received my MPx220 and I have had it charged for a few hours and all four boxes are full. Does this mean the battery is full? I also read the manual and it said to let it charge for 24 hours even if the battery showed it as full. I have seen a lot of recommendations to let devices with batteries charge for 24 hours before use? Does this actually help? Does it really matter?
Guest squall Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 24 hours is excessive, however it is worth leaving it on charge for a time after the battery shows as being fully charged. When a li-ion battery is initially charged the cells dont always initate imediately, meaning they are not counted in the battery stats. If a full charge is not given its possible these cells will never work, reducing the battery life of device
