Guest grumpy_old_technobyte Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 I dont understand the reasoning behind Hot-swappin miniSD's. Ive a pal who's got the moto mpx220, and changes out cards like its going out of style. 220's have bay door like the nokia ngage qd(which is legit for hot swappy). Once 1gb are in brick and morter, forget about it! Besides, hot-swapping sounds dirty like it should be performed behind a closed door!
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 You old people and your smutty minds... I suppose the only reason for it is if you have a load of music or video files on one card and your programs on another. As you say though, with a 1gig card it's not really going to be a problem. :)
Guest grumpy_old_technobyte Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Im not saying its wrong to do. Its your choice, totally. I wouldnt judge ya. Just saying that if Im at a bar and I lean over to the lady next to me and say that my phone is capable of hot-swapping, one of two things will happen. Ill either get slapped silly or end up hot swapping more than just phone numbers!
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 So why does your mate hot-swap his cards all the live-long day? Is he doing something with his Moto that you're yearning to do with your C500 ?
Guest grumpy_old_technobyte Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 No yearns, its just that even the moto mxp will be hot swap when its official. why i ask. no need to add bay door to the scheme. these cards are already hard to keep hold of outside the phone.
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 So true. I have difficulty finding mini-SD without my reading glasses on. :?
