Guest vk2003 Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Had my phone for few months now. Have to say it is the best phone I have had for a long time, and certainly beats any of the Nokia/SE handsets I have had of late. Up till now I have been syncing via a USB cable and laptop. This has worked seamlessly up till now. This has suddenly stopped working. Plugging the phone in brings up the activesync window, but it just says "connecting" but never seems to get any further... Lost as to what to do. Any advice folks? Oh, and the signal holding on my C500 is far better than ANY other phone I have ever had. Well impressed

Guest vk2003 Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Tried rebooting phone and laptop ? Reinstalling ActiveSync ? Just done a system restore to a month ago, prior to the last 3 windoze updates being installed, and suddenly working again. Think I will do as you have suggested and reinstall activesync. Reboots did nothing unfortunately though. Thanks for the suggestion :)
Guest RazorD Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 Same happened to me... didnt twig that it was because i had started using PeerGuardian (IP Blocker). Anyway, if you're using any kind of firewall, make sure it allows 127.0.0.1, which is what activesync needs! -Raz
