Guest tetsuoakira Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 HI I HAVE A SPV E100 WORKING FINE. My brother on the other hand tried updating his rom version (he had v.135) to 1.61 (but he got the sap 1.6 upgrade). His phone locked up half way through and he was left "OS-less". I have managed to install the orange spv update 1.61 on his phone and get windows smartphone 2002 to boot. however - his phone is now displaying the message "SIM FAILURE - invalid or missing sim". I downloaded spvUnlock2.0 (becuase his bootloader version is the canary v1.10) and that returned a code to me - however - i get no prompt to input the code when i boot the phone - the message comes straight up. is there any rom version that i can downgrade to to get the prompt to come up? Please can some1 help as i just bought him this for christmas. coud you tell me in here or email me at [email protected] :) - thanx Dave By the way = I have gmail invites if any1 wants1!
Guest squall Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 if there is no promt for the unlock code the phone must be sim unlocked. (unless you turned the radio off, i doubt you did seeing as you just reset the device) You could try the following 1. check the sim works in another phone 2. Wipe the sim and the phone. Its possible there could be a bad contact. Failing that im not sure what else you can try
