Guest attakorn Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 I've just played around with da startup and shutdown screen and the result is this. Hope you like it. To change da startup and shutdown just use da program "Screen Changer" found here: http://www.airfagev.com/utilities/Screen%20Changer.zip To make to even more Windows XP style, use the Windows XP Startup.wav as your SystemStart sound. Do this by editing the registry --> HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> ControlPanel >> Sounds >> SystemStart, Sound value = path to file. This path can't be in your storage card though since it is not initiated when startup windows! Valid example path: IPSMSoundsWindows XP Starutp.wav Hope you like it! :) A new year present for ya all! P.S. - I've also attached my Photoshop working file please feel free to play around with it! :-D - Please tell me if you like it or want any improvements...Ohm's WinXP Startup-Shutdown Screens.zip

Guest MehulAmin Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Nice work. Thanks for supplying the psd file as well.
Guest ollnie Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Nice work, especially on the startup sound. I´ve tryed both the screens and the sound and it works perfect. :) :!: Do you know the maximum size of the sound file and if it is supposed to be a specific type (wav, wmv or mp3)
Guest attakorn Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 thanx MehulAmin and ollnie! :-D To ollnie: I'm not sure about the maximum file size but the format should be in .wav or .mid. I've tried .wma and .mp3 and it doesn't work. Windows just reset the registry value to an alarm sound. To computman: You have to try if the program supports SP2003 or not. If it does then these screens would pretty much work. ;-) Thanx for da interest anyways!
Guest ollnie Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 Thanx Attakorn. I tryed a ringtone (aprox 250 kb) in wav format and it woks perfect. One problem is that if i change the homescreen the startup and shutdown images changes back to standard but the sound works??? Any ideas???

I'm usin SPV.. (Orange 1.5.0.3 and QTEK7070 ROM works) Hope this help.. :-p
Guest ollnie Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Sorry if it was a mixup but the problem i have is if i change the homescreen theme the startup and shutdown screens go back to standard win 2002 screens. I have a Qtek 7070 with the latest update
Guest lukeap69 Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Sorry if it was a mixup but the problem i have is if i change the homescreen theme the startup and shutdown screens go back to standard win 2002 screens. I have a Qtek 7070 with the latest update i think that would be the case if you change theme. try to use theme changer by riki, and soon as you set your startup and shutdown screen, save or update your theme. in that case, when you switch to other theme again (using theme changer of course) the startup and shutdown screen will also be changed. PS. set your startup and shutdown screen for every theme and save. regards, lukeap 69
Guest ollnie Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 Thanx Lukeap69:):) That did it, now it works perfect. Happy newyear to all MoDaCo folks
