I don't doubt its existence but a) is this a cingular FW or a Moto general issue, :) will Moto release future FW via an end user d/l as rumored and c) will they offer a real Cingular FW. CIngular could just easily drop the ball and support for it as well.

I'm pretty sure 1.3 and 1.7 are on the same level in that 1.3 is for Cingular-branded MPx220's and 1.7 is unbranded MPx220's.

I would just like one final fix to rule them all so we can have a stable and user friendly phone. Will this happen is anyone's guess. I usually keep a phone about 12 months or so before moving on so hopefully the next gen unit will be out by then with the right build spec.

I'm sure we'll see an update. There have been a lot of people pretty upset with what Motorola has put out, and so they don't lose face, I think they'll have to.
