A better way of browsing in IE

Came up with this idea in response to a posting by Scott Moore of MS on the Smartphone newsgroup. He was basically saying that it wouldn't be practical to allow clicking on individual pictures to show them when pictures are disabled, the problem being that you would have to move the highlight to each picture on the webpage which would not be so great for browsing. Anyway this was My idea, and now my first entry for the wishlist.

One way to do it would be to make the joystick dual function. In normal mode it could scroll the page up and down, then by pressing the action button a pointer appears on the visible portion of the screen which can be moved around any clickable portions of the screen. If you happen to press the action button by mistake and wish to return to scroll mode, then press the back button and start scrolling again. Its very annoying when you want to just read a webpage which is full of links and you have to scroll through them all to get the page to move forwards or backwards.
