Real messed up e100 - SD Read error

Well, here goes...

I have a HTC Tanager (SAP) on Orange's latest bios. It works fine aside from a problem with storage cards. Whenever i insert a SD card, the phone just blanks out and turns off. I've tried everything - , reinstalling the rom, messing with the 3-color-barred weird screen... But to no avail. Neither have i found any articles about this. I'm sure it's not a SD card compatibility problem, as I have tried SanDisk SD cards and it's the same result. Oh, and if i TRY to do a hard reset (remember i need a storage card), the screen says "Card found" and then it turns off. If i hold down on the record button, it keeps flashing "card found"

Can anyone help? I'm ready to throw this thing out the window.

that's pretty weird. if you do hard reset, pls make sure that the SD is removed. just insert it after the hard reset. i have never encountered that problem since i am using qtek rom (SAP). i do not know if it has something to do with the ROM.

and if you throw it outside the window, be sure to inform me so i can catch it. LOL
