Guest wideawake Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 I am sure I will not be the first, but I tried to download POCKET PC ICQ onto my SPV and it failed in the initialization. Does anyone know a way around this. Any news as to when an official version will be available for the SPV? :D Had my phone 1 week, very happy, when I work out how to use it :( Thanks
Guest Emad Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 The pocket pc version failed because it wasn't signed (see alllll the posts about application signing) - orange require developers to certify each application on the spv with them, but the process is rather slow at the moment, so only a handful of programs work.. I think its going to become easier in the next few months, but as a general guide, if you're paying for the software, its going to appear much quicker on the spv than freeware :D
Guest th0mz Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 just a thought. how about using ie to launch icq lite (icqgo)?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Shame there's no J2ME runtime environment, as there are J2ME ICQ clients around. An IM+ (for 7650) like app would rock... Merry Christmas everyone! P
