Guest giorgiomassa Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 I'm wondering if it's just me that has this bug... When I want to write a new SMS and I select the recipient, it will not show the contacts on the phone, just those on the SIM. I had to leave all my contacts on the SIM, otherwise I wasn't able to write new SMS! Somebody else with this bug and maybe a workaround? Thankx

On mine it seemed to show the SIM entries first, followed by the Contacts second. I have 180+ contacts in the phone and 20-30 SIM entries, so you have to scroll down a fair way before they become visible. To be honest, I tend to only use Contacts now rather than SIM entries to save having to scroll down.
Guest giorgiomassa Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Nope, I scrolled till the end and no entry of the contacts was shown. This is also confirmed by the fact that if I don't have the phonebook entries on the SIM, when I press the action key to select the recipient, it beeps only (btw, why does it beep even if I told him to shut up?) but nothing happens.
Guest giorgiomassa Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 I've discovered why this bug happens. When I copy all the SIM phonebook entries to the contacts, the SPV puts the phone number on the Home Number entry instead of the Cell Phone number, so when sending SMS it will show you only the contacts that have a Cell Phone number entry.... This sucks... I have to edit by hand all my contacts!
