My SPV automatically powers down?

Wierd one this, I've searched around but can't see anyone else with the same problem.

Last night as I was staying away, i set the Alarm to wake me up in time to get ready and get to the office in time. I meft my SPV switched on (obviously) and soon entered the land of nod.

This morning I awoke to find that it was 9:30 and my SPV had switched itself off?!?!?! Basicly i had a grey screen, which wouldn't active when I pressed a button or even if I pressed the on/off button. I know the phone still had charge remaining as the green light was flashing.

I tried calling my mobile number from the office whilst it was in this state, and the line rang as if the the phone were on (i.e. didn't go straight to voice mail), whilst the handset remained dead as a dodo.

In order to power the phone back up I had to remove the battery and press the on/off button..... and just to rub my nose in it, as soon as the phone had powered up, I recieved my 7:30 alarm call!!!

Anyone had a similar experience? am I leaving something on I shouldn't perhaps?.... any suggestions appreciated, I can't afford to have it happen again.

I have had similiar experience. My phone has done exact same a couple of times, the screen went blank as if it had gone to screensaving mode, the light was still flashing, indicating battery life, yet when I pressed the buttons (any of them, including the power) nothing.

I found that holding the power button on switched the flashing light off and then I left it for the 30sec clear method, it then switched on fine.

Most odd, need to move this one to the Bugs thread now.... ADMIN :D
