Guest neilfenstein Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Just a thought, this got me thinking:- The JPEG, BMP, GIF (both still and animated), and AVI (QuickTime video) file types are supported if quicktime is supported can you watch avi vids through this prog off your SD card? can anyone who owns it tell me if this is possible? Cheers Merry XMAS :D
Guest kevlar Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 I've asked this question in the STICKY in the customization forum about how to convert in 18 steps. Nobody has replied yet however. I don't know why. This has great potential, in IA Album you can rotate the video and watch full screen, so this would be a lot bigger than through media player. All we need now is some kind inteligent person to tell us how to convert to AVI. merry xmas Kevlar
Guest neilfenstein Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 I am probably going to buy it anyway as it sounds like the camera is far easier to use. However if you could play avi movies i could watch my southpark episodes without going through the hassle of converting to WMV.
Guest akarno Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 I have only had a quick play with this, but basically I think you can forget it. :D I seems that unlike the Windows Media Player, the IA player tries to load the whole clip in memory before displaying, therefore any clip more than a few seconds is impossible.
Guest pibrahim Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Haven't experimented in depth, but the IA Album video player has no pause/FF/RW (as far as I can see), lack of pause especially would hinder chances of using it for watching films, etc..
