Closing programmes

hey anyone help me please.

how do u fully close programs once u have finished with them, as i just keep goin bk to the homepage after using a program and after a while the fone becomes slow and i believe this is because the programs are still running in the background, as when i click on the icons at the top of the screen it takes me bk exactly where i was in the program, which suggest it never closes!!1

There's been a lot of discussion over this and I'm sure you'll find all the information if you search the forum.

But because it's Xmas I'll save you the time and tell you all I know :D

Some programs close when you press the Back button, but some don't. Aparantly, when the SPV needs memory it'll automatically close idle programs. The only way to make sure your programs are closed is to switch the phone off! Yes we all want a Task Manager.

thanky you i was just wondering seems stupid that u dont get a task manager bearing in mind what little memory u have , and the amount of programmes u cud potentially have using them!!!
