Guest mark10514 Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Okay, I am pretty sure this is supposed to work. I can't use Addto: to put in an email address. However, I can "type" in an email address or a mail alias. However, everthing ends up in the draft folder. They fail to send. Following a successful MMS SIM update, I can send MMS to a mobile telephone number. The user gets the id and password. But only once did an email go out - and okay even then with no picture, but part of a multi-part mime message. Here are some settings used. Here is the action sequence which fails: Programs/Inbox SMS/New/MMS/Edit/Picture/Menu/Send Message/put in email address/Menu Send Message :? I offer some settings that have been checked by orange. Programs/Inbox/SMS/Menu/Options/Email Setup/ username [email protected] server type: pop3 incoming mail server : pop.orange.net outgoing mail server : smtp.orange.net Network: The internet username password save password: ticked Programs/9 More/8 Accessories/MMS Setup Orange MMS IP : 192.168.224.10 Port: 9201 Mmsc Address: http://mms.orange.co.uk Message Exp: your choice Mms download: Auto Programs/9 More/2 Settings/7 Data Connections Orange GPRS / Menu / Edit Connections/ GPRS Connections/ Orange MMS Connects to : The internet Access point: orangemms Username: Orange Password: Multimedia I feel confident this can be fixed. Maybe someone can help me by saying if they can send pictures to an email address okay. Thanks alot. Mark.
Guest mark10514 Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 My own followup.. 24 hour after SIM update, and putting in dummy +44 mobile numbers and suddently the email field was visible perfectly. Its working very well indeed. Had to delete some contacts and reenter them for some reason, but its okay. Next challenge - where to drop in new ring tones ...
Guest deiwise Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 So how exactly did it suddenly start working? I've got the same problem - can type in email addresses, but they all end up in the draft folder. In need of a SIM update? Will
