Guest alang Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Since the SPV runs a microsoft OS and Outlook, my natural paranoia cuts in, is anyone aware of any anti-virus products available? :?:
Guest janagan Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 I have already heard of users experiencing viral attacks (not confirmed) on similar old phones, since we can browse any web pages it will be very easy to get infected by a virus. Hope some1 here will let us know if pocket IE either stops malicious content or something is in production to stop this.
Guest rcraswell Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Well... since PocketIE doesn't support javascript (one virus vector) and all executables have to be signed by Orange, the probability of virus infection is appears to be pretty low. Of course, I'd never say that there was NO way for someone introduce a virus, I'll just say that it's going to take some ingenuity. --ron
