i've had a search around and cant find anything about this so far.

i've just updated all the telephone numbers for my contacts and syncronised them with my spv. however where a number is repeated, eg my flatmates all have the same "home" number, when i get an incomming call from my flat's phoneline, the phone displays the first contact in the alphabet that has that number associated with it, so for example, "andrew" is above "flat", the contact "andrew" has the flat's number and his mobile in his contact info, however when he calls me from our flats phone his name is displayed, even though his mobile nubmer is set as default.

i hope that makes sense, any ideas on how to make it display "flat" when called from the flats landline, over my flatmates info, would be appreciated

Why don't you just make a contact named flat and use the number?

I think p0rt is right. Have the flat number under "Flat" as you have it, but don't assign that number to your flatmates. That's probably your best bet for now.
